Holo Holo to Leeward Oahu

A few months ago Daniel Alvarez and I took a short, daytrip to the Leeward side of West Oahu... Following H1 until it eventually turned into Farrrington Highway, we both cruised the highway until we reached the end. Having personally not been out to that end of the island in nearly 20 years, it was like a trip back in time, to a still rural part of Oahu. West Oahu is well known for its many miles of sandy beaches, summer surf breaks bordered on the mauka side by the rugged Waianae Mountains. While on our mild little adventure, we were lucky enough to come upon Pokai Bay to see the Polynesian Voyaging Society canoe, Hokulea moored at the beach.
